For dog owners, with or without a trainer

See what really changes.
Weeks, not gut feeling.Everyday life counts too.Hard days are part of it.With or without a trainer.Free for owners.

You record how your day went, what you practised and what happened in everyday life. The day entry takes one tap. For events, there is one shared place to start: + Record. In your history, you can compare today's entries with earlier ones.

For iPhone. Android is coming.

Works without a trainer You create your own exercises and situations. Without a trainer, everything stays on your phone and you do not need an account.
No exercise catalogue We do not provide a single exercise. You or your trainer decide what suits your dog.
Gaps are allowed Nothing recorded for two weeks? The app does not comment on it.
SOUND FAMILIAR?

Twelve weeks of practice. And it feels like nothing helps.

Another dog comes around the corner and you shorten the leash. Afterwards, one question remains: was that better than last month? Maybe you cannot remember. The two difficult encounters often stay with you more than the twenty calm ones.

That is why training can feel as though nothing has changed after three months. A history keeps hold of what would otherwise slip by.

Today

A memory from three weeks ago.

With Canidio

The entry from then, in your history.

Today

“Was that better?” Nobody knows.

With Canidio

Entries from then and today side by side.

PRACTICE AND EVERYDAY LIFE

Practice is one thing. Saturday morning is another.

You practise dog encounters three times a week on an empty path. That is an exercise. The dog that comes around the corner on Saturday is a situation in everyday life. Canidio records both separately, so your history can show what changes in everyday life.

Exercises

What you plan to do. You create the exercise yourself or receive it from your trainer. In a check-in, you choose: Went well, Was okay, Was difficult, Defused or Not done.

Everyday life

What happens without planning: a dog around the corner, a visitor at the door or time alone at home. Events have four states: Went well, Was okay, Was difficult or Defused. The day entry has three states and no Not done state.

AFTER A FEW WEEKS

No chart. One sentence.

Twelve weeks ago, an encounter at ten metres was difficult. Last week, the same encounter was okay. When there is enough data, Canidio summarises the change in the words of your entries.

WHY CANIDIO EXISTS

It started with a WhatsApp message.

Enzo and I had good training sessions. When something went well, I wrote to my trainer and sent a photo: “Enzo was really engaged on the walk today.” Sharing messages like that is fun.

But a chat is not a record. A bad day stays stronger in my memory than a good week. A notes app, a spreadsheet and the notebook by the door each lasted only a week.

So I built Canidio, at first just for the two of us. Maybe it helps you notice again the things that would otherwise slip by.

FOR TRAINERS

Your trainer does not need an app.

You can share videos and the relevant context with a browser link. Your trainer does not need to install anything or create an account to reply the first time.

Feedback in one sitting

Work through the queue with the keyboard. At the end, see the summary and call it a day.

Sorted by urgency

The person who has waited longest is at the top, not the first alphabetically.

Assign homework

Your trainer can choose an exercise from their own library, set the amount and send it.

The library stays theirs

Their own exercises, their own instructions. No course catalogue, no templates.

Request beta access

No sales pitch, no newsletter. We reply personally.
