These are the questions that often come up when people first see Canidio. The app's limits belong here too.
How long does it take before I see something?
A trend needs eight entries for the same situation, spread across at least three weeks. For weekly situations, the window is 56 days. Very rare situations stay in your history without the app drawing a trend from them. You can see how far along you are from day one.
Do I need a trainer?
No. You create your own situations and exercises and record how things go. If you want to share something, send your trainer a link. Without a trainer, you do not lose any function.
Does the app tell me what to practise?
No, and that is intentional. Canidio records what you do and does not suggest anything. You or your trainer decide which exercise suits your dog. We provide the diary, not the plan.
What happens to my videos?
Your videos stay on your phone until you share them. Only when you tap “Send to trainer” does a copy go to a server in the EU. Your trainer sees only what you sent.
What if things get worse?
Your history also shows days when things were more difficult. When there is enough data for a trend, Canidio can put changes in context. You decide whether to share the history with a trainer.
What does Canidio cost?
Nothing for owners. No ads, in-app purchases or premium tier.
Does the app replace my trainer?
No. Canidio is the tool between lessons. What you practise remains your trainer's decision, or your own.
My trainer does not use Canidio.
No problem. You can use Canidio entirely on your own. Later, you can share individual entries through a browser link.
